Thank you!
As my time as Chair of the Mass Communication Division comes to a close, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to serve the division. It’s been a pleasure! I also want to express particular appreciation for everyone who contributed to the annual convention – planners and reviewers, panel chairs and respondents, and division leadership. Coming together was a joy, and all of you made that possible.

New IDEA Officer Position
During our business meeting, we discussed a series of inclusion diversity equity and access (IDEA) initiatives. One of those was adding an IDEA officer position to our executive committee. The related bylaws amendments were passed, and then we held an election for our first IDEA officer. Sumana Chattopadhyay will fill that role for the two-year term.
Forthcoming Elections
A ballot is forthcoming for leadership positions of the division that were not filled during out business meeting. All members will receive the ballot by e-mail in the coming weeks. Please be sure to vote in these elections!
Reviewer Sign Up
We need reviewers for the 2023 annual convention! The more volunteers we have the better we are able to match interests and expertise with papers submitted. All members of the division, including graduate students, are welcome to sign up using this link.
